Mercury bug tracking system

Julien Fischer-2

Hi all,

The Mercury project is now using the Mantis bug tracking system
to handle bug reports for Mercury.

The bug tracking system is accesible at
<http://bugs.mercury.csse.unimelb.edu.au> or you can just follow the
link from the Mercury webpage.

The old `mercury-bugs' address will remain active for a more few months
but I encourage you to use the new system.

Cheers,
Julien.

I've just enabled anonymous reporting, so you can report bugs and view
existing bugs without needing to register an account.

Alternatively, anyone is welcome to sign up as a bug reporter.  You'll
need to provide a valid e-mail address, at least initially, so that
you can receive the confirmation e-mail and set the password.

Cheers,
Mark.

Hmm, the problem with this is that an anonymous reporter won't get emailed
any updates to the bug report, so any requests for extra information aren't
likely to get replies.  This is bad.  I've used Bugzilla in the past and
sometimes you want to ask something about the bug quite a long time after
the original report was made, well after even a conscientious anonymous
reporter would have stopped checking for replies.

When I try to sign up with the username "rafe" I get told "That username
is already being used. Please go back and select another one."  I'm
using "rafe" for the G12 bugs account, would that have something to do
with it?  Trying to login with "rafe" and the G12 account password
doesn't work.

Hmmm ... we hoped you would take the hint ;-)

I've fixed this.

Julien.

Eh?  What did you fix?  The account had already been created correctly, and
was awaiting confirmation.  Same process that Ralph followed successfully
for G12's bug tracking.  ;-)

Note to new users: if you lose the confirmation e-mail, or if it expires,
just click on the forgotten password link and you'll get another one.

Cheers,
Mark.

Clicking on the reset password thing since Ralph had lost the mail.
